Mexican Train Dominoes

Join us on Monday, April 7, at Heartland Senior Services, 205 S. Walnut Ave, Ames and play Mexican Train Dominoes from 1-2:30 p.m. No previous experience needed.

Monthly Dance

The Heartland Senior Services Monthly Dance will be on Tuesday, April 8, from 7-10 p.m. at the Moose Family Center, North U.S. Highway 69 and West 190th St. in Ames. Kenny Frette and the Country Classic Band will perform. Admission is $5 each and all are welcome. Sponsorship for the dance is provided by Bethany Life. For more information, call 515-233-2906.

Lunch and Learn

Join us for our monthly Lunch and Learn at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, at Heartland Senior Services, 205 S. Walnut Ave., Ames. Kiley McLaughlin from Reiman Gardens will let us know about the 2014 themed display, “A Garden Odyssey,” and upcoming events. Call 515-233-2906 to make a lunch reservation.

Lunch and Roundtable discussion

Join us at the Nord Kalsem Community Center in Huxley Thursday, April 10, for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Immediately following, we will have an interactive discussion focusing on services for older adults in the Huxley area. Call 233-2906 to RSVP.

Trivia Night

Heartland Senior Services’ next Community Trivia Night will be Friday, April 25, at City Church (formerly Oakwood Church), 2400 Oakwood Rd. in Ames, starting at 6:30 p.m. Teams of up to eight people compete to answer questions about topics such as sports, movies, history, geography and current events. Each team is encouraged to bring their own snacks. Cost is $10 per person. Cash prizes for the top three teams and door prizes from local businesses will be awarded at the conclusion of the game.
