Huxley community members “Deck the Halls” to support the Ballard area food and clothing pantries

It’s time to “Deck the Halls” and “’Tis the Season,” all in the name of helping others in the Ballard community. The Huxley Enhancement & Recreational Organization (H.E.R.O.) will be presenting the seventh annual Huxley Holiday Tour of Homes on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 4-7 p.m.

Five families around the Huxley area have graciously opened their beautiful homes for community members to tour and enjoy. Each home will be decorated for the holiday season, and will offer those touring some inspirational ideas for their own personal Christmas decorating.

Those opening their homes to the public include; Matt and Stacey Agena, Teri and Kyle Krogh, Andy and Lisa Laughlin, Chris and Jessica Reynolds, and Bryon and Angie Carson.

Tickets for the event are $8 in advance and can be purchased at the following local businesses: Blumster’s on Main, Quick’s Hardware Hank, Moose on the Loose and the Chicken Shed. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the event at any of the homes on the tour for $10. All proceeds from the event will support the Ballard area food and clothing pantries.

“I’m so excited to have the support from HERO to make an event like this happen,” stated Suzanne Askelsen, committee member. “It takes people’s ideas, time and generosity, and HERO has been willing to step up to see an event in our community succeed. The best part is the assistance we will be giving to the Huxley Wishing Tree Project and Huxley Food Pantry.”
