Love is in the air

Join Story County Conservation Naturalist Heather Hucka on Friday, Feb. 14, from 6-9 p.m., at McFarland Park for a one-of-a-kind date night for you and your valentine. Enjoy a catered dinner and wine at the conservation center and look at another animal that is into romance this time of year. You’ll learn about owl love life, meet a real owl and take a stroll through the park to search for owls in love.

Depending on the weather, there will be an optional 45-minute hike. Dress for the weather and wear warm, sturdy, waterproof shoes/boots. Fee is $50/couple, which includes food, wine and entertainment. Preregistration with payment is required by 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3. Call 232-2516 or email conservation@storycounty.com to register. Space is limited, so register early!
