The Nonprofit Management Academy was established in 1999 by Iowa State University in partnership with the United Way Management Assistance Program to enhance the management skills of those serving nonprofit human services groups, hospitals, government agencies, churches, private schools, arts organizations, environmental groups, and others in the nonprofit sector.
The Nonprofit Management Mini Academy sessions will take place April 24, June 19, Aug. 28 and Oct. 23 of 2014. These opportunities are meant to enhance your nonprofit knowledge and skills. We invite nonprofit managers, employees, volunteers and board members to attend.
The Nonprofit Management Mini Academy is provided by a partnership between ISU Extension & Outreach and United Way of Story and Marshall County. This series of half-day classes will help you in accomplishing your goals.
Sessions include: The Eight Essential Functions of the Board of Directors, Making the Most of your Marketing, Four Steps to Program Management and The Dating Game: Fundamentals of Grant Development.
Sessions will open with registration at 8:30 a.m., sessions start at 9 a.m. and run until noon. All sessions will be held at the Oakwood Church – 2400 Oakwood Dr., Ames (southwest of Gateway Hotel and Convention Center) North Education Room.
