Partners Fall Festival features free music, food, fun

Join Story County Conservation for the 17th annual Partners Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 3-6 p.m. at McFarland Park (56461 180th St.) northeast of Ames. This free, public event features live music, nature activities and a barbecue.

People of all ages will enjoy the music of Dustin Smith & The Sunday Silos, with special guests The River Monks. You’ll hear a little bit of everything - folk, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, and a whole lot of soul! The event also boasts children’s crafts and games. The barbecue features hamburgers and hot dogs, chips, and refreshments. Free-will donations will be accepted.

This festival is an excellent opportunity to visit McFarland Park, enjoy great music and learn more about Story County Conservation Partners and the important things the group does for conservation efforts in Story County.

The festival will be held rain or shine; bring your blankets and lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the day! Pets must be on kept on leashes at all times.
