Christmas on Main

Slater’s 18th annual Christmas on Main celebration will be held Sunday, Dec. 1, from 3-5 p.m. at the Slater Fire Station.

The event will kick off with the announcement of Slater’s 125th Celebration flag design contest winner. A live Nativity Scene will be at the Log Cabin from 3-5 p.m., and at 4 p.m., a puppet show will take place at the library. A free drawing for 25 hams will take place at 4:45 p.m. The tree on Main Street will be lit at approximately 5:15 p.m., with fireworks immediately following. Other activities include horse-drawn wagon rides, silent auction for gift baskets, movies and crafts at the library, Christmas caroling by the Ballard Community Choir and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Treats for the night include brats, hot dogs, burgers, chips, s’mores, cookies, hot apple cider and coffee.

All free-will donations and silent auction proceeds will support the Slater Fourth of July celebration.
