Huxley Police Department May Report

5/9: Officer took report of a burglary in the 100 block of S. Race Street. Entry was forced into a residence, as well as a garage, but it appeared nothing was missing.

5/22: Officer took a report of a car theft at the 200 block of First Street. The vehicle was recovered outside town shortly after. The owner did not wish to pursue an investigation.

5/23: Officer, along with Cambridge Fire, responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 35 southbound near the 106 mile marker. A vehicle operated by an Arkansas man had a small fire. No injuries.

5/25: Officer observed spray paint on the road near the intersection of Second and Main. Three juveniles were identified as having painted the road and agreed to clean the area.

Huxley officers had no arrests for the month. Officers issued four citations for traffic offenses and gave 10 warnings. Officers had 30 calls for service or information and had a total of 74 contacts for the month. Officers had 13.25 hours of investigations, providing assistance or answering calls and gave 82 hours of general patrol.
