Celebrate Singing Concert to be held at Ballard High School

The Celebrate Singing Choral Festival performance will be held at Ballard High School in Huxley on Friday, April 25, at 7 p.m. The performance will feature central Iowa youth choruses, with the University of Northern Iowa Children’s Choir as the guest choir. All choirs will perform individually and then join as a mass choir under the direction of Michelle Swanson, music instructor at the University of Northern Iowa.

The following youth choruses will perform in the festival: Ballard Middle School, Huxley; Ames Children’s Choirs Chorale, Ames; Crestview Elementary School, West Des Moines; East Elementary School, Cambridge; Nevada Middle School, Nevada and UNI Children’s Choir, Cedar Falls.

Tickets are available at the door: $4 for students/seniors, $6 for adults and $12 per family. The festival is being co-sponsored by the Ames Children’s Choirs and Ballard Community Schools, funded in part by Fidelity Bank, Kreg Tool Company, Casey’s General Store, Huxley Communications, Blumster’s, General Insurance Agency, S & S Insurance, South Story Bank and Ames Commission on the Arts.
