Easter Egg Hunt

The Annual Collins Easter Egg Hunt was held Saturday, April 19 at Trailside Park by the Collins Lion’s Club. The weather was spectacular and brought out over fifty children accompanied by their parents, families, and friends. The children were released into the park, which was filled with candies of all types and plastic eggs filled with quarters. A drawing was held for each of the participants and four prizes were awarded.

Collins Community Wide Cleanup

The Collins Community Wide Cleanup has been scheduled for May 10th at 9am. Please meet at the Collins Fire Department if you are interested in helping with your gloves, rakes, and neon vests if you have them (for working alongside the highway). Everyone is invited to participate. If you have a project that you’d like added to the worklist, please call Pam Twohey at 515-782-5066 or email collinslionsclub@gmail.com

Collins Alumni Banquet

RSVP by May 17

The 2014 Collins Alumni Banquet will be held Sunday, May 24, in the Collins Elementary School gymnasium at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 each and are on sale at the Collins Exchange State Bank, 641-385-2304, or with Judi Tiffany at HAIRHUT in Collins, 641-385-2560. Checks may be made payable to Collins Alumni Association. Hickory Park will cater the supper. Please note that reservations need to be made by May 17.

If you attended the Collins school, even though you may not have graduated from Collins, you are welcome to attend. So make those reservations now, and join us for a great evening at this year’s 2014 Collins Alumni Banquet.
