The Great Train Wreck…100 years later

The Slater Area Historical Association introduces a new exhibit, “The Great Train Wreck…100 Years Later,” commemorating the largest railroad disaster in Slater’s history. The Great Train Wreck exhibit will be on display Dec. 1 at the Slater Fire Station, Main Street, from 3-6 p.m., and at Heritage Hall, 318 First Ave., Slater, through the month of December. Hours at Heritage Hall are 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Thursdays, or call 515-480-9789 or 515-228-3293 for an appointment.
