January police reports for Cambridge

Huxley Police Department

1/2: Officer took a burglary report at the Coop located on Water Street. A window was broken out and the office was disturbed. No items were taken from the business.

1/3: Officers applied for a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Vine. Stolen property, including a snowmobile and air compressor were recovered. A 47-year-old Cambridge man was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property and transported to the Story County Jail in Nevada. Charges by other various agencies possible.

1/4: Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Park Street. The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old Ames man, was suspended from driving. He was cited and released with a court date for Driving Under Suspension.

1/27: Officer responded to a domestic altercation in the 300 block of Sycamore. The altercation was verbal in nature and both parties agreed that they could cohabitate for the remainder of the day with no further problems.

1/28: Officer responded to a Domestic Altercation at the 300 block of Sycamore. A 60-year-old Cambridge man was arrested for Simple Domestic Assault and transported to the Story County Jail in Nevada.

Officers had three arrests for the month, one for Driving while License Suspended, one for Possession of Stolen Property and one for Domestic Assault. Officers issued one citation for traffic offenses and gave 13 warnings for various others. Officers had 31 calls for service or information and had a total of 72 contacts for the month. Officers had 15 hours of investigations, answering calls, or providing assistance and had 74.5 hours of general patrol.
