Megan Howard of Elkhart has been recognized as an Outstanding Business Administration Student by the faculty at AIB College of Business. She has also been honored as a presidential scholar at AIB College of Business.

To receive the Outstanding Student honor, Howard, who is earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, was required to attain a grade point average of 3.75 or higher in the previous term. For presidential scholar, she attained a grade point average of 3.80 or higher for the term.

Kole Kimberley of Maxwell will take part in the 2014 Governor’s Charity Steer Show Saturday, Aug. 9, at 4 p.m., in the Pioneer Livestock Pavilion at the Iowa State Fair. Sandy Hatfield-Clubb, director of athletics at Drake University, will exhibit Kimberley’s steer.

Immediately following the competition, the steers will be sold at auction, with proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Iowa. Both the show ring event and the auction are open to the general public.
