Waldorf College students, faculty, staff and alumni came together to celebrate the annual Honors Day. Nearly 230 scholarships were distributed to Waldorf students, including the following Times-area students:
Alexa Bainbridge of Collins received the Berth Salveson Music Scholarship. Bertha Salveson’s two sons, Dr. Elmer Paulson and Dr. Gordon Paulson, established this scholarship in 1969 in memory of Bertha Salveson, daughter of the founder of Waldorf College. An award is given annually to a freshman music student.
Victoria Mens, Slater, received the Ove and Mabel Anderson Scholarship Fund. Both Ove and Mabel were Waldorf supporters since 1916, as their children and several grandchildren are alumni. A committee of faculty and staff selects the recipient of this scholarship.
