Slater Public Library Pool Party and Picnic

We wrapped up our most successful summer reading program ever on July 24 with a pool party and picnic, with entertainment by Mr. S and the Sandbox Band. A special thanks to Beirman Furniture for providing the lunch!

We had 213 youth registered, and in six-and-a-half weeks, we had over 2,000 people attend our programs. The kids racked up over 100,000 minutes read (and still counting)! We couldn’t have done it without the support of the community, staff and local businesses.

Slater should be proud of the youth of this community and their parents, who make sure they spend time in the summer being active with their minds as well as physically!

We are so proud to create a place where everyone has equal access to these opportunities. Have a great rest of the summer.
