Did you know there’s a spring wildflower that oozes a red liquid from its roots, earning it the name bloodroot? Search for this plant and other spring wildflowers with Naturalist Heather Hucka! A Spring Wildflower Hike will take place on Saturday, April 26, from 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m. at Robison Wildlife Acres (29490 632nd Ave., Nevada).
The beautiful woodland wildflowers and abundant song birds at Robison make this park a “must see.” Participants will enjoy a moderate hike suitable for families with small children. Please note this is not a stroller-friendly event. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. You may also want to bring binoculars, camera and a water bottle.
This is a free event! Registration is required by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 18. In case of bad weather, this event will be cancelled.
