The Story County Medical Center Endowment Foundation (Foundation) recently welcomed Robbie Anderson, David Cox and Dave Jamison to the foundation board.
Robbie Anderson, a native of Zearing, has lived in Nevada for the past 13 years and works at Rec-Chek, Inc. She has a B.S. in marketing from Iowa State University and is working on obtaining her CPA. Robbie has volunteered her time and expertise in helping to plan the foundation’s bi-annual gala since 2007. She has been instrumental in helping the foundation raise funds for the hospital’s various programs. She has also volunteered at the elementary school on the Multi-age Parent Planning Team for the past seven years and will be a member of the Leadership Nevada class of 2014. Robbie enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, Jeff, and two children, Hunter and Addison.
David Cox, CHFC, CLU, LUTCF, raised his family in Nevada and lives in Ames. He earned his B.S. in institution management from Iowa State University and has been a financial advisor for AXA Advisors since 1974. David volunteered for the Story County Fair board, helped to raise funds for SCORE Park in Nevada and was a member of the Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation board, helping raise funds for Israel Family Hospice House. He was also involved with the Heartland Senior Services board, the Ames Noon Rotary and is a member of the Ames Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is not a stranger to health care. His wife, Elizabeth, is a family nurse practitioner and his two daughters have their Bachelor of Science in nursing. His son, Michael, chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and is a financial analyst. He and his wife live in Ames and enjoy motorcycling, ISU football, remodeling, travel and spending time with family.
David D. Jamison, is the former (1995-2010) Story County treasurer and currently serves as the director of the Iowa Finance Authority. Dave is an Iowa native, U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a graduate of Iowa State University, where he received a BBA in management. He also holds a Finance Master certificate from the National Association of County Collectors, Treasurers and Finance Officers (NACCTFO) through the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Dave has completed the Certified Public Manager program through Drake University. While treasurer, Dave was president of the Iowa State County Treasurers Association, co-chair of the ISCTA Website Task Force that established the IowaTreasurers.org Web site for all 99 county treasurers and chair of the Education Committee for NACCTFO.“I’m proud to welcome Robbie, David and Dave to our board,” said Mark Cahill, incoming foundation president. “Their expertise and leadership will allow us to continue to support the missions of the foundation and Story Medical.”
