Community members from the Ballard community gathered last Thursday and Friday nights, Feb. 13 and 14, for Valentine’s activities. Both events were held in the Safe Room in the 3Cs buidling.

The Dueling Pianos of Andy Anderson and Mike Leeds provided musical entertainment both nights. Family night included snacks and games to be played, while the adult night featured a dinner to go with the music.

The events were put on by the Huxley Parks and Recreation. This is the second year for the adult night, but the first time a family night was held. Approximately 55 people attended family night Feb. 13, while 150 people were present for the adult night Feb. 14.

“Both events had a solid turnout, and those who attended had a great time,” said Travis Bakken, Huxley Parks and Recreation director.

Proceeds from the events will go toward meeting revenue goals for the parks and recreation department. Bakken said the department plans to hold similar events again next year.
