Ballard tops CMB in girls’ soccer, 3-1

HUXLEY – Ballard downed Collins-Maxwell-Baxter in a non-conference girls’ soccer match-up April 17 in Huxley as the Bombers picked up a goal from three different players in a 3-1 victory.

Emily Knittel, Sydney Smith and Rachel Watters each scored a goal for Ballard, and the Bombers played tough defense to even their season record at 1-1. All three Bomber goals were unassisted.

CMB’s lone goal came from Tabitha Halferty off an assist from Taylor Dulaney. Lexi Breon made an impressive 38 saves at keeper in a losing effort as the Raiders fell to 1-3 on the season.
