HUXLEY – The Ballard boys’ golf team easily ousted Des Moines Christian and Dallas Center-Grimes in a triangular meet Monday as the Bombers produced the three best individual scores at the Ballard Golf and Country Club.
Ballard finished with a team score of 158 over nine holes. Des Moines Christian took second with a score of 172 and DCG finished with a score of 181.
Mason Jensen was the meet’s medalist and Nash Bucher and Mike McVicker tied for medalist-runner up for the Bombers. Jensen carded a 38 and Bucher and McVicker each shot a 39.
Nick Hartman finished with a 42 as the final scored golfer for Ballard.

WOODWARD – Depth helped Ballard claim the Woodward-Granger Invitational championship April 17 in Woodward.
The Bombers had all four of their scored players shoot a 40 or better over nine holes, finishing with a team score of 155. Ballard edged Adel-Desoto-Minburn’s score of 158 for the championship in the seven-team field.
Nash Bucher finished third overall individually for Ballard with a round of 38. Nick Hartman also shot a 38 to place fourth overall, Mike McVicker carded a 39 and Kolby Jensen ended up with a 40 to complete the scoring for the Bombers.
ADM’s Brody Boston was the medalist with a 34 and the Tigers’ Joe Vest took runner-up with a 35.
