CMB’s Husske is medalist at Twin Anchors

COLO – The Collins-Maxwell-Baxter boys’ golf team produced the individual medalist at a triangular meet with Colo-Nesco and North Tama Friday at the Twin Anchors Golf Course near Colo.

CMB’s Garrett Husske won medalist honors with a strong nine-hole performance. Husske shot a 38 to beat North Tama’s Taylor Dinsdale by one stroke for the individual title.

As a team, CMB shot a 184 to place third. The Raiders weren’t that far off from the lead as North Tama won with a 172 and Colo-Nesco shot a 177.

Jake Hennick and Brevin Johnston also turned in solid rounds for CMB. Hennick carded a 42 and Johnston finished with a 46.

Caleb Van Zante turned the final counted score for the Raiders with a 58.

Final team scores (nine holes): 1. North Tama 172, 2. Colo-Nesco 177, 3. CMB 184.

CMB (184) – Garrett Huske 38, Jake Hennick 42, Caleb Van Zante 58, Brevin Johnston 46, Sean Deakins 66, Austin Wonders 73.
