CMB boys finish fourth at quadrangular

WATERLOO – The Collins-Maxwell-Baxter boys’ golf team placed fourth in a quadrangular and the Colo-Nesco/CMB girls came in second in a meet with Don Bosco April 29 at the Irv Warren Golf Course in Waterloo.

The CMB boys shot a 237 over nine holes. Waterloo Christian won with a 198, Colo-Nesco took second with a 204 and Don Bosco came in third with a 205.

Caleb Van Zante paced CMB individually with a 51. Jake Hennick was right behind with a 52, Brevin Johnson carded a 59 and Bryce Bane and Ricky White tied for the final counted score with identical rounds of 75.

Waterloo Christian’s Matt Miller and Heath Darst both shot a 44 as the top individual performers in the boys’ meet.

In the girls’ competition Colo-Nesco/CMB shot a 293 over nine holes. Don Bosco won the head-to-head competition with a 270.

McKenna Farren was medalist runner-up for the Colo-Nesco/CMB girls with a 64. Don Bosco’s Bailey Speare was the medalist with a 62.

Alex Hlavacek carded a 71 for Colo-Nesco/CMB. Courtney Clapper shot a 74 and Zoee Risdal delivered an 84.
